• EU consortium seeks a wind turbine blades manufacturer for a project, developing a new epoxy coating for large wind turbine blades. Deadline: 3 May 2012. Contact Andy for more details.

• RBS EnterprisingU competition is open: £25k available for the best business plan, developed by any student or recent graduate. Deadline for application is 15 June 2012

• Energy Technologies Institutes seeks partners for energy-from-waste demonstrator: 3 concept projects will be funding, leading to 1 full plant. Deadline for notification of intent: 7 June.

• £1 billion is available through the Regional Growth Fund for projects that leverage aim to create economic growth and sustainable employment. Minimum project size: £1m.

• The Energy Technology Institute has issued a Request for Proposals for a consumer behaviour study in the field of smart system technology and heat. The project will aim to provide insight into how demand for heat can be controlled to meet consumer needs, while delivered in the most cost effective and secure way.

Crown Bio Technoloy™ is an innovative SME providing biotechno­logical solutions for a variety of market sectors, based on diagnostic tools for the rapid screening of toxic materials in soil. Crown Bio can also offer reliable and confidential advice and services for cases of industrial contamination

Testudo Innovation helped Crown Bio to source partners and submit bids for FP7 and TSB funds, aiming to develop further capability in the efficient and cost effective detection of harmful compounds in contaminated sites. Testudo continue to work with Crown Bio to source industry partners from across the globe.

Printed electronics specialist DZP Technologies retained Testudo Innovation's services to help develop new opportunities for DZP's expertise and products, mostly in the automotive, aerospace and medical devices market.

In addition to identifying and approaching potential collaboration partner, Testudo is also representing DZP at networking events and trade missions, providing additional promotion outlets for DZP's expertise at minimal use of DZP's resources.

ECLIPS Corporation have developed a new environmental Energy-from-Waste thermal process, which has the reliability and safety of conventional combustion systems but without the associated pollution.
It offers high profitability from valuable commercial by-products, produced from the safe disposal of municipal (MSW) and hazardous (HZW) waste, with the unique advantage of no smokestack and no emissions.

ECLIPS are EIS qualified and are working with Testudo to secure private and venture capital funding from the UK & overseas to develop a prototype and scaled up operation.

A long-standing contact of Testudo Innovation's partners, Slider Studio's Michael Kohn was keen to explore a collaboration as soon as Testudo was incorporated.

With the support of SliderStudio's technical team, Testudo Innovation provides post-event networking support and follow-up for brokerage events (e.g. related to TSB funding calls or the Enterprise Europe Network), using Slider Studio's proprietary StickyWorld tool for an online networking support.

Solar Pack (UK) is a distributor and installer of solar photovoltaic and thermal solutions, with big plans for development of an integrated solar PV & thermal panel. Testudo Innovation helped SolarPack to join an FP7 consortium, aiming to develop energy efficiency retrofit kits for the built environment, allowing Solar Pack to develop their Solar Thermal PV panel under EU subsidy.
